Buttocks Augmentation by MicroFat Grafting

Fat Grafting is the method most frequently chosen by Dr. Roberts and his patients for augmentation (enlargement) of the buttocks or making them more shapely. You must have enough “spare” fat in areas such as the abdomen, flanks, hips, lower back or thighs. This excess will be removed with very gentle, low-vacuum liposuction using a special cannula (thin tube) to protect the living fat cells. The fat particles are purified, then inserted into the layers of the buttocks through one or two 1/8” incisions, putting tiny droplets throughout the tissues so each fat cell will have a good blood supply.

The Perfect Candidate - Micro Fat Grafting is one of the easiest ways to add fullness to almost any shape buttock to create the desired look. This procedure can add fullness to any part of the buttocks, or even the entire buttocks. You must have enough extra fat available in other areas of the body to be removed and used in the grafting process. If there is not enough fat, Dr. Roberts may suggest using implants along with the fat, or gaining weight temporarily.

Your Consultation - Pre-consultations with our patient coordinator are no charge; Consults with the doctor are $95. Please call our office to make an appointment. Out-of-state patients may send photographs of your body to our coordinator to evaluate with the doctor, before you begin the process of booking surgery. Estimated costs given by our coordinator include all in office surgical fees, anesthesia and Post-Op care. Fees that are not covered are pre-surgery lab work, your hotel stay for at least 7 days and a caregiver for at least 24 hours.

Recovery - You will need to stay in the Spartanburg area at least 7 days after surgery. During this time, discomfort is mild to moderate, and easily relieved by medication. By the time you leave, you should be getting your energy back, but shouldn’t sit down for a few weeks. You can resume light work 16 days after your surgery, and regular activity (except for prolonged sitting) in 3 weeks.
